Stupid Flights...

So, since my late "grandpa" isn't blood-related to my family, I don't qualify for bereavement airfare.

What else can I do?

I need to leave tomorrow and be back by Tuesday.

And it's fucking retarded that you check online and the flights are cheaper ONLINE than the airline when you call. Like...two hundred DOLLARS cheaper.

I fucking hate airlines.

They are all around the $420+ range. I even flexed the days +/- a day or so.

I feel like I should be there. Like, I haven't seen him in a few years, but he was like a father to my dad. And my dad is having medical problems of his own. I guess he's going for eye surgery next month, may lose vision in both eyes. Bad lenses and cataracts or something. He conveniently just mentioned it yesterday. My family is the type that could be on the deathbed and never say anything. I'd take Wesson along with me especially since he's free on a flight until 2 years old...

My sister is there too. I don't know. But it's so much money. I can pull it from savings but...time off from work too. I'm torn.

I find buying directly from the airline website is a lot cheaper than expedia and those type of companies because of the taxes and fares etc. I do a lot of flying and almost always USAirways is the cheapest. Have you tried other airports closer to you Jeannette? Sometime I try other airports that are close but may have to drive once landing. We have two airports back home one is two hours from my hometown and the other is three hours from my hometown. I always check both and there is almost always a price difference.

Can you try flying into Chicago? I can pick you up. There are tons of airports here.
