I did something stupid. I forgot to turn off my coffee pot this morning so it completely burned through the coffee thingy. It's brand new too.

There is no way a completely burnt bottom will be accepted at Walmart/Target . Plus I don't have the receipt anymore since I tore it up after balancing my checkbook. The bright side is... I'm sure a coffee maker works the same way if I just stick a cup underneathe it, I just won't be able to get the fancy 5 cup container unless I find it in a thrift store or the discard pile downstairs. No

Just scrub the living hell out of the pot. Let it soak for a few days and take a green scrubbie.

I just scrubbed the living hell outta it after soaking it and ran boiling water through it. It's good as new now! Smile

I've done that before too. It sucks. Made me feel like I fail at making coffee. Glad you could save it!
