How do you tell..
Your deployed husband that you can't handle his dog? I tried to nicely last night. Kept telling him that once the baby comes I won't be able to walk her. That if we had a house it would be different but he just kept repeating he didn't want to live on base. No matter how much I take this dog out she shits all over the apartment. I took a nap today with Connor and woke up to piles of shit everywhere. We kennel her when we go out and at night but I can't stand this! I don't know what to do but I promised I wouldn't get rid of his stupid fucking dog!

Yeah I'm not a dog person and my husband talked me into a dog.
We sometimes have the same problem . . .
That is a tough situation! Especially since he is deployed. It would be different if he was home.

Is there anybody who could watch it til he gets home? That is just too much for you right now.

Re: How do you tell..
The closest family we have around is an Aunt and Uncle up in Aurora but they can barely support themselves and their daughter. And when I say barely I mean they can't at all. Then a cousin in Denver who is a recovering alcoholic. I just found out that he exists so I don't want to bother him. I could ask my Aunt and Uncle in AZ to watch her but they are always busy... Maybe when its closer to when the baby comes. I know that my Uncle is a softie for Huskys so that should win him over. Thanks guys. I've been crying all afternoon about this. I never thought of family watching her.

Ah yes! We're going through this now. It gets to a point where he has a dog but HE is not there to take care of it.
I told my husband yesterday that once he fixes the dog crate, if Gunny gets out, he's GONE.
I'm blunt.
"I can't take this shit anymore." Period.

Thats the point I'm at. I am trying to hold off until we get a house. Then if it doesn't get better and no family or friends will take her till he gets back, I will have to get rid of her. I stress out enough without a dog.

You should submit your case to that show, "It's Me or the Dog".

I've heard of a program of people who will watch someone's dog when they are deployed. I would say given your pregnancy, and living in an apartment you would qualify. I would check into that.

We have a kennel that she goes in at night and when we leave the house. And now when Connor naps since I usually nap with him. She is 2. She sometimes acts like a puppy but she is overall just obnoxious. I will look into that program. My mom talked to my aunt and my aunt is more than willing to watch her but I don't know for how long. If she does watch her till Chris gets back then we'll stay in the apartments until he gets back and we agree on a place. If she can't, then we have to move to a house with a yard asap. And I would submit us to "Its me or the dog" but I don't want him to make that decision. :/
