An Ode to Carbs

Post by Jeannette on Wed Aug 25, 2010 9:07 am

Oh carbs.
How I love thee.
Bread, pasta, buns, biscuits...
You make my sandwich whole.
Alas, I can not eat you,
even though I desire so.
You give me diabetes.
So back into the cabinet you shall go.

I would kill for a chicken sandwich, a sub, a bowl of spaghetti......

lonely

Aw hang in there I find counting calories like starving myself. I didn't like it. I did better just doing the 30 day Shred than counting calories.

I can't do the 30-day shred anymore. Sigh.

It's about all I can do besides walking the dogs for the time I have.

Why would I move if he's going to be gone most of this year, most of next year, and out in December!!!

Most of the platoon wives move home when their husbands deploy anyway. So I'd be alone, in a town I hate. lol

I'm only moving if he reenlists. (I kinda would like him to but I'm on the fence...)

Our lease is good until next June so I wouldn't move anytime soon anyway. lol

at first i didnt want my DH to reenlist but then i thought about it....there are no jobs out there, what would we do for health insurance for our daughter and us..where would we live if we cant get jobs. But with the reenlisting its free medical free place to live and job security. so obviously we went with reenlisting and now that we have twins coming i think hes going to retire from the military lol

lol

That's how Jon is. I keep telling him, there are NO JOBS. He was a tool and die maker before he joined, there are no metal-working jobs anywhere.

He says he's getting out. But then he'll turn around and say..."IF for some god-awful reason I'd have to reenlist, this is what I'd do...."

lol

lol this would be his first reenlistment right? if he decides to reenlist have him request to go to a non deployable unit like my DH did. We got screwed with where we got sent to but its still non deployable for atleast 3, but probably 5 years

Jon joined like..."Der der derrr, I'm gonna go INFANTRY! Either go big or go home!!!" But now, most of his original platoon eas'd or got relocated. So now he's around a bunch of boot ass big-headed kids that think just because they did a deployment to Haiti that they're salty devil dogs." I shake my head. He's not thrilled. I kept telling him to do something else but nooooooooo. Never listen to your wife. lol

Oh, and the younger generation is pulling the "hazing" card like crazy. It's RIDICULOUS!

Oh I know!!!

The quality of boots has gone downhill. lol

Don't get me wrong, DH was on a "I'm a Marine!" kick when he graduated boot. But after he hit the fleet, they put his ass in check real quick. ROFL

They can't do that anymore because someone will get njp'd for hazing. Rolling Eyes

You better not move at all once I'm down there Boxing

Although I'm sure he would be fine living by the ocean too. We are really only moving down in your area because of you haha We are open to whatever.

The movie SUCKED compared to the book. It was way too fast. And I wanted to slap a bitch.

I only watched the movie because of Channing Tatum. lol

Ya I dunno...so far Jon says no but we'll see.
