Cheeseburger Bake
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb ground beef
1/2 chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped dill pickles
1/2cup water
1/2 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2cups shredded American cheese
1 can crescent rolls
1 egg beaten
1 tablespoon sesame seed
DIRECTIONS:
Heat oven to 375°F. Cook beef and onion over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes until cooked, drain. Stir in pickles, water, ketchup, mustard and pepper. Spoon beef mixture into 11x7-inch (2-quart) glass baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese. Unroll dough, press seams, place on top of cheese. Brush with egg; sprinkle with sesame seed. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Usually I just use American cheese slices, because that's what I always have. You can also use biscuits or make a Bisquick dough for the top instead of the rolls. I just use what it here, and what is on sale.

Re: Cheeseburger Bake
Sometimes I leave the onion uncooked. It tastes like a McDonalds cheeseburger then. This is one of the few recipes my husband always tells me I can make again. It's super easy and pretty versatile.

Re: Cheeseburger Bake
It's just black pepper in the recipe. It would be fine without the onions though! I am a super not picky eater, so I would put just about anything in this one!
