Upset Clingy

Post by LaDonna on Tue Oct 19, 2010 8:42 am

Mackenzie has just reached a phase of utter clingyness.... She is starting to have separation anxiety too which she has never done before..... starting to say things like, "mommy don't leave me!" and it breaks my heart....

I'm really upset because she is going to spend the night with Kenny's parents this weekend for the first time in a few months.... and I am going to hate every second of it. But I don't have a lot of choice as that is the Halloween party.

I just keep telling myself, if we get through Saturday then she won't need to be away from me for a really really really long time.

Awww!

Hopefully it doesn't last too long.

I die a little everytime I drop Wesson off at daycare and he gives me the "look". sadeyes

I have a love/hate with the clingyness. I love the additional hugs. lol

Rosemary has started bribing me to drop her off. Like yesterday she said "I'll go to daycare Mommy, but you have to bring me to White Castle for lunch. " lol

She has been having a hard time too. Like when I say it's time to get dressed she loses her mind. She knows what is coming. And I had to bring her to daycare last Friday, which I never do, and she cried and cried. It was horrible. She was scraming "Nooooooo Mommy!"

Just remind yourself that 5 minutes after you leave, she'll have forgotten and will be getting into Kenny's parents' hair. lol

I used to watch the screen at daycare to see how long it took for Wesson to chill out. Wasn't long until he found a toy. LMAO

I hate this phase!!! but see if Mackenzie ever got to me too bad I'd pick her up and take her to Airmakers for the day! Smile puzz probably a good thing she doesn't know that.

I was like that. I always had a hard time with leaving my mom, even when I was in Jr High it was difficult. When we would have parent lunch days in elementary school, she would have to sign me out after lunch because I'd be such a mess just thinking about her leaving.

It has to get better. Just HAS to.

My mom does daycare and she said that a reward chart helps a lot of kids. Like if they are good ehrn you drop them off they get a smile sticker for the day and if they get smile stickers all week then they get something. My child gets everything she wants anyways though, so I don't know how well that would work for us. lol

....Reese basically scoots me out the door! He can't wait for me to leave him so he can play lol He is only clingy when John gets home...and that is just jealousy!

When he was 1 he went to daycare while John was deployed and he cried for like a week then after that he was good...by the time I got to the door he wasn't crying anymore.

But man it sure does break your heart. The first day I sat in the car and cried. I felt mean.
