Can you find another job? Just to find one then tell your boss if he doesn't change you are leaving. That way it's not just an empty threat.

It's not so bad "toward" me at the moment . . . he is just crazy in general.
We need at least 2 full time people in the office . . . at least
Right now I am the only employee on payroll.
Now with the other girl possibly not coming back . . .
We have over 250 rental properties that I am managing, we are in the middle of building one of the biggest homes in Brookfield (million dollar home), we are building a 6-family unit, a 2-family unit . . . and I am managing all the sub contractors, all the shipping/receiving . . . Electric, Gas, etc. <--- doesn't even describe it.
We need another person in this damn office.

Have you talked to him about it? I bet if you tell him nicely that if you don't get another person you are leaving he may respond better. The other girl is a lost cause at this point.

I agree that other girl is a lost cause. She hasn't been there in how many months. Granted she was on maternity leave, but still!

Re: 11/16/10
She came in and met with him this morning. He pretty much turned everything on me "Crystal said you didn't want to meet with her" "Crystal said you were collecting unemployment even though I didn't lay you off" and so on. Really unprofessional on his part when he was the one that was concerned about all this stuff.
She convinced him that we will not be working Saturdays, but in turn we can no longer leave early. We must both work a full 8 hours each day . . . blah blah blah

But so is she going to be full time? I don't get why she got to collect unemployment too.

Re: 11/16/10
It was illegal. She shouldn't have been collecting. That is why the owner was so angry with her. Although he didn't say anything to stop it. It would be on both of them if we were to get audited.
She will work a few hours here and there next week, then start full time the 29th.
I get to go back to my 9-5 shift on the 29th thank GOD!
