Potty Training Question...

Post by Tate on Tue Jan 26, 2010 10:37 am

Well Reese IS potty trained the only thing he doesn't do is wipe his own bottom...We've started trying but his arm doesn't even reach. Hes three...I know some kids don't figure it out till they are 5...

I'm fixing to put him in morning Preschool classes (9:30-12:30) I don't know how all that works...But I don't know what I am going to do with this butt wiping thing lol

Maybe I should have him #2 in the mornings before school? He has a routine and #2 is usually around 9:30....

Freakout

I have no idea... Connor isn't potty trained yet. I was going to try to start maybe next week. I'm glad you posted this though. Gives me an idea of what I get to look forward to

lol Potty training was easy. We just let him go naked a while and put him on the potty every 10 minutes for a week. It took about 3 months before he was fully potty trained. I loved getting rid of diapers. When you do it though you have to get rid of diapers all together! No diapers during the day...tell him hes a big boy and he doesn't need diapers anymore..then use pull ups at night. Just be persistent with whatever you do!

The daycare that I take Wesson to has kids that are 4 and 5. They TEACH pottytraining. If you inform them that he's still having issues with that, I'm sure they'll help!

Well, it's a "Learning Center" that Wesson goes to. lol

I can't imagine 4 year olds still being fully potty-trained.

I know I wet my bed once in a while at 4. lol

And boys are harder I guess!

Reese hasn't wet his bed in...geeze...going on a six months probably...he was fully potty trained last June...But accidents do happen.

I know a lot of three year olds that are not trained so I would guess that would mean there are gonna be four year olds that are newly potty trained.

See Mackenzie drinks a TON of juice in the middle of the night..... she gets so thirsty.... but I am going to do a juice detox this weekend...... no juice after a certain time.... because I think that if I only give her water after a certain time..... she will not be as thirsty (because water quenches your thirst more) and therefore.... less bed-wetting Smile It's a plan..... we'll see what happens...... but Mack is not potty trained either, she is working on it though.
