When DH was home...I literately had to tell him that that was what I needed. Except the way I told him involved flailing aluminum foil and bitter (somewhat) yelling. lol

They just don't get it.

Try to elaborate..."I NEED MEEEEEEE TIMEEEEEEE." lol

My husband was dead silent after the lashing too. ROFL I flew off the handle and went..."I need a shower! I need a nap! I need a break! This sucks!"

Nope. I had Wesson from 4 days old to 7 months. Alone. Entirely... Alone.

I know what it feels like to need a break. LMAO

This is ALWAYS a problem!
I actually make sure I give DH some time alone without children whenever I can, because I know exactly how that feels.

You're just burned out. I went through the motions where I felt like the worst parent in the world because I just didn't have the energy like I felt I should. ...But I couldn't do anything about it. This needs to get done, that needs to get done, you want to be the best parent in the world, you want to read to him every night, but at the same time, you're thinking "I need a shower. I would kill for some extra sleep. I want a hot meal!"

It's just exhausting. It's a rut that I think everyone falls into once in a while... Is there anything you can do to cut down any daily things to give you a break?

not really, i mean, im constantly trapped in the house while DH is working bc we only have the one car and when he has his long days he doesnt get home until 7:30 pm. and when he has his short day he comes home and takes a nap and constantly falls asleep throughout the day on the couch. i feel like i have to ask him to do things like feed our DD or change her diaper and i ALWAYS have to ask him to feed the dog more than twice every night that i dont feel like feeding him. i mean he does do things around the house, like he'll all out clean but thats usually every 2-4 weeks that he does that and if i let the dishes or wash or vacuuming go long enough he will do them without me asking. and it really doesnt help that i have no friends around here anymore since they've all moved away....i just dont know Sad

What about when your DD naps? Can you get a little "me" time in? I found that even just watching a half hour of tv (and I don't even like tv) helped me unwind and rest my mind a little bit.

I write tasks down on the fridge so I can remember. lol Even as dumb as vacuuming...after I go through the list, I'll see what/if I can put anything off to schedule a little me time.

Can you DH watch her for just a day while you take the car and go somewhere? The beach, for a walk...anything?

well i do stuff while she is sleeping like get on the computer and get on this site or FB and play games and stuff, but its getting old now i think bc thats ALL i do. im gonna try to start working out while she is napping and see if maybe that works.

im sure DH wouldnt mind watching her i just wouldnt know what to do, too cold for me to go to the beach right now and walks are boring for me if im by myself so i dont think that would help.

Working out helps. I started working out a couple weeks ago (in front of the tv...a bunch of us on here are doing the 30-day shred) and that's helped alot. It's just a half hour or so to clear your head from work/house. lol

You should come to our get together on Sunday! lol

I want a Wii just so I can do the Wii fit...

Buuuuuut that means I'd have a video game console in the house. Which means I'd never see my husband leave the couch...

Shame on DH for working this weekend! There will be others. Or if ever you're bored and want to visit Raleigh for a day. teehee

I just got DH a ps3. UGH....I hate it, it just sits there. He was supposed to take it on the boat with him but he left a locker on the boat over the weekend locked just to see if someone would steal it and when he came back they had broken into it. HAHA it was empty but he decided to leave the evil ps3 here.
