I think it's bullshit when people think a 7 month deployment is just and ONLY 7 months.

Wow. That stinks! Has he thought about LAT moving? He has been in his MOS long enough he could possible talk to his career planner and see if he can change MOS's so he won't have to deploy...

He wouldn't do that to his boys.

I don't think they'd let him do a LAT move either. Infantry units are high-demand right now and he's a really good sawgunner.

He could always go in and talk to them and see what they say...never know if you don't try. If they did let him he might be able to be here for the baby.

I still don't think he'd leave his boys.

He'd never forgive himself if something happened to someone and he wasn't there.

He has to remember that things happen no matter what. Things happen for a reason...but I understand what you mean...John was sad when he didn't deploy with his guys. But he was happy he didn't have to go

Jon would be happy too, but not at the time. I'll just play it by ear and do what I always do, plan for the worse.
