USAA
I'm confused . . .
Do they have branches?
Maybe it's just the end of the day . . .
Is this the military bank?

Re: USAA
You're a nerd. It's online only. THUS. I have an account with them for Jon (no atm fees), and I bank with a different bank and transfer money in there.
We get our car and property insurance through them. They have great rates on things.

UM yeah!
Their car loans are like 10% less then everywhere else . . .
Can we get Brad's VA check deposited into that account?
I'm confused on how you transfer money into it . . .
If I have cash can I deposit it into an ATM?
What is this scan at home business?

Yes you can get his check deposited into the account. Just change the bank routing through the VA.
I keep a "branch" bank with Suntrust. I transfer money into the USAA account (Jon's allowance) for free.
I "think" you can scan the check and send it to USAA and thats how they deposit those types of funds. I like a physical bank so I keep the Suntrust for depositing checks.

I don't know too much about it, but DH has his insurance through them. He also used to work for them, long before his Navy days.

Not yet. I probably will though. I'm comparing rates and doing research. I never had a loan before.
Re: USAA
Just got off the phone with USAA . . .
HIS EX has an open car loan (from about 2 months ago) UNDER both their names LISTED AS HIS WIFE!!!!
I am livid!
I wondered how she got a brand new car all the sudden without a job living at her dads . . .
Is that even legal?!
Re: USAA
I guess she still can if she is still on the account.

Re: USAA
He needs to think real hard about whatever he put her in charge of when they were married. Obviously he forgot about the USAA account.
I would imagine she could be removed? I don't know how that works.
AGH. Crazy bitch.

Re: USAA
They are saying that she has her own account under him so at least the car loan wont be directly connected to him . . .
Re: USAA
With most banks you have to close the account (I think) to take someone off. You guys should probably run a crdit check through Experian or one of those to see what else she could have done.

Re: USAA
Oh we did . . . she got her "their" car repo'ed
Filed for bankruptcy behind his back . . .
He cant hold an actual bank account with any national bank because of all the crap she racked up.
I can go on and on . . .
She didn't pay the storage locker holding all the stuff she took from him when they got divorced, that went to collections under his name and ALL their (and kids) stuff got put up for auction.
