Poor Dog! (UPDATE)

So the neighbors across the street haven't been home in a long time ....at least since last Monday (only know that because their trashcan is out but I am pretty sure they've been gone longer).

Their dog has been barking in the garage and I've noticed no ones been home so John went over and peeked in the garage door window and he said their was pee and poo every where. That there was no food in sight and that the dog bed they had in there was torn to peices, fluff every where.

So I called AMCC today and they told me I needed to call the Animal Control. Animal Control told me AMCC would have to verify that the dog is being left alone before they could do anything. Called AMCC back. The lady took addresses etc. then proceeded to tell me "We might call them..I don't know. I don't want to step over any boundaries".

Its pretty freaking cold for a tiny dog to be sleeping in the garage with no bed to keep him warm. Top it off that he probably isn't being fed ...or if there is any water!?? I think thats a boundary I'd gladly over step.

While maybe the people supposed to be taking care of the dog isn't doing so it isn't the dogs fault. Someone needs to find out what is going on

That is awful! I would be calling daily or even every couple of hours to see if they've done anything! Maybe if you show concern multiple times about the situation they will do something!

oh that makes me very upset........ I would have been over there trying to break in and save the dog.

UPDATE:
There has been a car there since 11 this morning. So apparently they got a hold of someone that lives there or who is taking care of the dog and they moved the trash can back to the side of the house. I hope they didn't just come park the car and leave though. That would be bad. But we will be keeping a eye on it.

(Kelly John went to the gate last night (couldn't find a number that worked) they said they couldn't do anything that we would have to wait until today to do anything and we would need to deal with AMCC).

(LaDonna the husband was thinking about putting some food under the garage door but decided against it because if he had eaten in a while we didn't want to make him sick).

I sure hope they took care of the dog, and didn't just park their car there!!!!

That is horrible! I hope they actually helped the dog.

Well they sure do wash their garage out a lot more now. There has been someone staying there after I called and complained. I'm guessing they are still leaving the dog in the garage most of the time hence the garage always being sprayed out. And they always do that at night time don't guess they want everyone to see poop rolling down the drive way!

At least the dog is being taken care of now!
