I wish I was at work. No one around here is hiring so I still only have my weekend job.

I hope. Being bored at work would be a nice change. I was working 3 jobs right after I had Connor.

Re: Hey!!
I am putting off laundry...I'm talking MOUNDS of laundry. Two laundry baskets in the bedroom, one big laundry basket full of towels, and one other laundry basket
I need to shower and go to the grocery store. Blah. I am just feeling SO lazy lately. I need to get my act back together again.

I am going for Business. Boring. But from what I can tell I can do most of it online and it will be helpful for down the road. Chris' recruiter has been trying to get me to join the reserves They just don't give up.

What do you want to do with it jmetz? I thought about business...but I dunno. I have my days where I'm like...am I satisfied with this? Or do I want to do something else? I do things on a whim.
How is the curriculum for online?

You can be a manager at places Jeannette with a business degree. Run your own business etc. My brother is currently getting his business degree.

Re: Hey!!
Oh I know...I already know I'm qualified...but it's just something for bragging rights.
Business is more of my...fortay'. I just don't do sales...but operating is cheesecake to me. I have a knack for that kind of stuff.
I need to wait until Jon gets out and gets a real job though. It's too risky to start it now because my income is necessary at the moment. I've been planning for quite a while now. I also want to start something online too. But SOMEONE never responded to my PM.

I want to open my own bar and grill. My weekend job is working at the bar at Medieval Times. I've been there for 6 years and worked in about 6 departments and been supervisor so I know the place inside and out. I just want to run a nice relaxed place. Chris loves to cook so we want to do this closer to when he retires. No idea when that will be though But the basic plan is coffee shop/cafe during the day, bar and grill in the afternoon and evening.

Re: Hey!!
I just want a mom and pop diner.
There's no good places down here anymore for an all-american burger and fries.
I live in a smaller town so it would be doable. Serving coffee to the old Vets that come in in the morning, listening to their stories, booths/tables, all kinds of old pictures on the walls... A nice lunch rush where people can get a quick, good lunch... And dinner...
A cross between a Waffle House and Shake n Bake...a diner!
Or...something else...but that's what I figured...

Re: Hey!!
Mm. Jeannette that sounds great there really is nothing like that around here. I hate it. I hate not going to the 166 cafe back home on the weekends and being able to get breakfast all day long! Biscuits and gravy YUM.

I love those kinds of diners. There is one in the town where I grew up that used to only be open till 6. When they extended hours to 8 it was such a big deal. I would come eat at your place

Re: Hey!!
See! And you're not the only one that has said stuff like that.
It'd be just a nice little local diner.
Not in it to make a fortune and live on a golden toilet-seat...just something that makes an impact. People going out and having a good sit-down dinner at a reasonably priced diner.
With military discounts too.

Re: Hey!!
can't forget about those military discounts...or senior discounts...seniors get a little huffity when you forget about senior discounts.
