have an idea of where they might be stationed?

I don't know how the Army is but DH didn't know until he was about done with MOS school (training for their job).

He put on his wish list for Camp Lejeune and thats what he got. He didn't really have an idea until they told him. Cause usually you don't get whats on your wish list.

They just put you were your needed.

Okay. Chris called the house to talk to Connor (I was at work so he talked to my mom) and he apparently told her that they told them 2 places that they are most likely to be stationed. I was just wondering. I figured I won't know till the last moment

DH knew when he was nearly done with A-school (equal to Marine's MOS School), maybe 2 weeks before the end and then he had about a week's worth of leave before reporting.

Okay. I just thought it was weird that they were told all that.

They will probably get told 12038419283 different things before he ever gets to his duty station

I can't remember, I'm thinking 6 months before he commissioned.

my DH found out he was coming to lejeune 1 week or so before he finished MOS school, and after he reenlisted he was only given like 15 days notice before he had to check in at new river.
