Midwest Get Together

I'm thinking we should plan a Midwest Get Together sometime early September?
Maybe somewhere between here and Ohio? Especially since we will have Liz in Great Lakes now?!

I'm trying to figure out where the "middle" would be.

What part of Ohio do you live in?

Well I know it will sound like I am saying it because it is close to me, but there is always Chicago. It's just that it is really easy to get to and there is TONS to do. Plus if people wanted they could always stay at my house. We could take the train dowtown and go shopping then go out for some amazing pizza then out to a blues club or something.

I'm close to Dayton. It's about 2.5 hours from Cinci.

We were in Chicago a couple weekends ago . . .
We went to this neat Persian restaurant/bar
We were in the Wicker Park area, which is very artsy.

I've been trying to get down there forever for some Sushi
I wouldn't mind doing some shopping too lol

I wish I could like sushi. I have tried a bajillion times. Still nothing.

It was like pulling teeth to get Brad to try it at first . . .
Now he is begging me to take him out for Sushi all the time LOL

As soon as I get my butt to the Social Security office to get a new card I will be able to get my stickers for Great Lakes! Then I can go shopping alone without DH lol

We are actually going down on Saturday to do some shopping for our wedding reception on June 5th.

We need some meat LOL

We were there a few weeks ago, and DH was like "Why isn't it so busy here? Where are all the people? Where are the kids running around while the mom's blab on the phone?" I told him we aren't in Lejeune anymore!

Yeah it's never that bad in there. The lines are usually quick too!

I am so excited for that. And I think the exchange is nicer, smaller, but nicer stuff and more organized. I am just so excited to be there. That's where my A school was and I loved it. Plus it is still so close to home.

Yeah we don't go to the exchange much.
We usually go on Fridays which makes it hard getting on and off base with all that traffic going home for the weekend.

DH is excited to do some shopping at Lejeune in a couple weeks for USMC stuff lol

Their selection at Great Lakes is like one tiny wall.

Imagine how we Navy kids felt at Lejeune.
