Go at 8-9pm so you miss Chicago traffic and the kids sleep. You should be in the W.VA mountains by the morning (it's BEAUTIFUL when the sun comes up).

I don't know how Chicago construction is, but take 294 if you can so you miss downtown traffic.

for some reason it showed us having to take 41 through Chicago because of construction . . . That takes us right by Great Lakes and crap. The way you have listed is the way the GPS is saying to go. My dad is telling us to go through Dayton, OH and there is some highway that cuts straight into NC?

Brad wants to take the GPS way (which is the way you posted) So that's the way we are going to drive. lol

Ohio is a typical way to go but it's not the easiest drive. Traffic! AND Ohio cops are pricks.

Brad is not happy about bringing Copper, but I don't see a problem. He travels well on short distances and we are leaving at night, so I'm assuming he will sleep all night along with the kids . . .

I like Topsail Beach as my favorite! Next would be Wrightsville, last would be Onslow.

I've "been" to Onslow but never beached it' for a day.
