Getting a new car. Empty Getting a new car.

Yep.

$127 for the tie-rod yesterday. I have to go back today because for some fucking reason my steering wheel is sideways.

OH and it'll be $400+ for a new left axle shaft and ball bearing (replace in the next 3-6 months)
I need a new rotor and a brake job $100....

I already need a new exhaust manifold because I'm driving down the road with my windows cracked so I don't die from fume inhalation.

My car is only valued at $700. It's got 150k, fair condition, and it's got shit wrong with it.

So...I need a new car.

I don't know how were going to afford this either. (sobs)

FML.

Start calling around to banks, usaa, etc to see what the best deal will be.

Then find a used car on the 10000 and under lot and get a new car! Woot Check out autotrader.com too!

I didn't look on that site but when I was browsing used ones, they all had an ASTRONOMICAL amount of mileage for the 10k and under. I want to say I was on usedcars.com

I'm going to try and get an 09/10 model of some sort.

Those are all teeny tiny cars. Mostly smaller than what I have now. lol

The Cobalt is TINY...I don't care what they say. Although I do like its' looks, it's just not practical.

I was thinking about a Chevy HHR. They're ugly but you can cram alot of shit in them! And I'd be able to take the dogs with me.

I want a family-sized Sedan. If I had to, I was looking at the Mazda 3 4-door. That one is decent priced and perty.

I keep saying if/when I go to get a new one I'm going to look at a KIA... they have good prices and a lot of upgrades..... but I've always driven a FORD.

Fords seemed kinda pricy. The only one I would look into is the Fusion as the Focus seems like the same size of what I have now.

KIA is ok but for their price, I could buy a Chevy or something. lol

The Versa looks really nice!

I'm trying to upgrade from my 02 Elantra. I've been looking at decent sized sedans and the Chevy HHR. My girlfriend used to tote her dogs around in that thing. I need a good travel car for when we drive to WI occasionally!

Dodge Charger!!! Niceeeeeeee.

I thought about an SUV but I'm partial to the gas mileage right now. I let Jon have the big truck-gas-guzzler. lol

My coworker used to work at Kia. He's going to look into a Kia Forte and bring one by this afternoon. They had a Soul but it was a manual.

Tate. I know you love your Jeeps. Give e feedback on the Patriot and Compass.

They're cheaper than a fricken car. And I can fit a double stroller and dogs. One is 13k and the other is 15k starting.

How are they and what about maintenance?

I'm pretty serious about checking one out Saturday...
