Rug Doctor
Have you ever rented one? How much is it and do they work? I want to buy a carpet cleaner so bad, but can't afford one right now.

Re: Rug Doctor
Do you think it's worth it, or should I just wait until I can buy a carpet shampooer?

Well we have only been here since July, and they cleanes them before we moved in, but there are still some spots that are dirty. It's not from us, so I don't know if they will even get clean.

They are just little, but they are driving me crazy. I know they are not from us. They are in places we haven't even barely walked, and under area rugs.

Re: Rug Doctor
We use the Rug Doctor at my parents hotel. It cleans great...but they use a different cleaner than what comes with the Rug Doctor my grandpa makes his own "special concoction"

Re: Rug Doctor
It depends how dirty the carpet is.
I got the rug doctor and it was GREAT for big areas
(empty rooms). It's a pain in the back if you're tall because the handle doesn't go up that high. It did really well on my dad's house though.
The downside is that you can't get into nooks and crannies.
I used the cleaner for the rug doctor and when that ran out, I used Bissell.

I really want to buy a shampoo-er.... but Kenny, God love him, just yanked up all the carpet in our bedroom and installed hardwoods! .... so now the only areas with carpet are Mackenzie's playroom and bedroom and upstairs! Thank Goodness! they will all be tackled next!
