Question C-section?

Post by Kelly Mon Sep 27, 2010 10:31 am

I need your thoughts on them. I had a vaginal delivery with DD. The doctor told me today that it would be up to me if i wanted to have a scheduled C-section or we could wait and see when i go into labor what position the twins are in. If i was to schedule a C-section then i could guarentee that i would have the doctor that i saw today which i want because he was really really nice. not sure what to do.HELP

Did you have any complications with DD? Ya, the risks with vaginal and twins is position. Sometimes getting them both head down is a challenge.

What are your thoughts against having one?

no complications with DD except it took 3 1/2 hours to push her out i think she may have had her heartbeat drop because they had me on oxygen for a while but nothing serious.

im not against having a c-section i just worry about the complications/recovery from a c-section but i have a feeling that im going to end up having one anyways. i just dont know what to do

I would want to try to do it naturally IF possible. If you get farther down the line and things aren't going well then have a C Section. You still have a while no reason to rush into scheduling a c-section right now!

Question Re: C-section?

Post by Jeannette Mon Sep 27, 2010 10:44 am

Ya. Unless there were complications, you still have a while out to think about it.

I'll be getting one. But that's because of complications with my first. I don't want to, but I can't NOT do it.

My mom had 2 c-sections and told me that you want to get a tight girdle to help with the stomach. And you're definitely not allowed to lift for a while. My ma is going to come up when I have the babies.

Ya. The bedrest is what scares me. I'm pretty much screwed if I get put on that.

So many babies! Ya...Jon will be deployed so I'll be on my own. My sister will be wrapping up her senior year and my ma is using her vacation for the delivery/after.

Question Re: C-section?

Post by Jeannette Mon Sep 27, 2010 11:10 am

I'm guessing the first week in April or last in March. I don't want them too early though. They have to bake as long as possible!

Kelly, I would but Jon is getting out. He's going to be a stay at home until he finds work so I have to stay up here for the job. lol

Question Re: C-section?

Post by Jeannette Mon Sep 27, 2010 11:26 am

Not sure Crystal. Last pregnancy, I never had ANY problems except for the diabetes and water retaining at the end. Everyone around here just says..."You know you'll end up on bedrest..."

I'm going to piss everyone off like I did last time and work until the day before I delivered.

Thanks Tate! lol

I hope you do make it full term Jeannette! That would be awesome since so many people with twins deliver early! But if they do put you on bedrest...that means STAY IN BED AND REST NO MATTER WHAT Razz
