What happened to....?

good cartoons!

I mean it's about the equivalent of finding a needle in a haystack when you turn on the tv these days. I think this explains part of the reason why some kids are the way they are today and age. I can't believe some of the crap that comes on...and it's CRAP! Half of these shows don't have anything positive or educational in them, they're all about burping/farting/lack of manners and beating other characters up. All things I don't care for my child to watch.

I miss the good shows....

Looney Tunes, Hannah Barbara shows, the original Nick Toons, Garfield, The Snorks, JabberJaw, etc,....

Reese watches Spongebob, then the rest is like Dora the Explorer, Go Diego Go...all of those are decent. As for the ones that come on after all that...they are some terrible cartoons!

Yeah those are fine but the majority of the other shows (especially Cartoon Network) are just....UGHHH!


Christian watches Spongebob and Phineas & Ferb. He gets frustrated because I won't let him watch Chowder, Flapjack, Fanboy & Chum-chum, etc,... but whatever he can get over it. I've seen those shows and some of them make Ren & Stimpy look tame.

I think at this point he's gave up on watching most cartoons because he likes the Disney shows. (Wizards, Jonas, Suite Life...)

Maybe I'm outdated and I just need to get with the times.

no no I totally agree...Reese watches fanboy and chum chum sometimes...it has to be the most stupid show ever!

Have you ever seen Flapjack? That show makes me want to hurt myself.

I have seen special holiday episodes once in awhile though.

Rosemary is into Garfield and Snoopy right now. I won't argue with her. She will watch the same one over and over and over and over, but it's better than what is on TV!

I wish they still showed The Peanuts. I love them!

I remember looney tunes, that's it. DB has started buying DVD collections of the good old cartoons so that when we have kids, they can watch them instead of the lousy stuff on tv. I think it's just an excuse for him to buy and watch them.

We do that too! Rosemary rarely watches what is actually on TV, more movies than anything.
