oh my!! Pepper Ann tore part of her toenail off, the other half is still attached. Why do things like this have to happen at 10:45 PM, after the vet is closed!?! GAHHH. So we have an appointment at 9:45 to see what we can do for it.


There was tons of blood last night so I have been rescrubbing the spots since 7 this morning. We took shifts sleeping with her so she wouldn't stand up on it. I'm exhausted. I'll keep you guys posted. :\

Make sure you have a small container of styptic powder in your house. You can get it over the counter at any pet store. It's used during nailcutting. You dip the nail in the powder and it clots it completely/immediately.

Poor Pepper Ann! I hope she feels better!

I will definitely buy some!! & I wasn't clipping her nails when she did it, she was running around the house like a wild woman and she sat on Wes' lap and he realized she was bleeding. OOHH My. **added cute picture** 991906

Ya, it's great to have just in instances like yours! My one dog snags her nails every once in a while on the carpet and we have to use it.

Did it like break in half?
