Skillet Green beans and bacon:
(Obviously you can make as much or as little as you'd like so I'll just tell you what you need the rest you can probably figure out lol)

French cut green beans
Bacon
Onion
Garlic (minced or powdered)

If you do two cans you probably want to drain one and keep the juice in the other.
I usually cook the bacon and onions for a little bit before throwing it in with the green beans into a iron skillet. Then you just let it simmer and wilt down the green beans. DELISH!

My mom makes this and it is what everyone request/expects her to bring lol It is usually the first dish empty!

Barley Mushroom Pilaf

1 package sliced fresh mushrooms
2 teaspoons olive oil
1 onion, diced
1 cup pearl barley
3 cups chicken broth

Fry the mushrooms and onions in the olive oil. Put that in with the barely and chicken broth in a 2 qt ovenproof dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes.

Barley is super good for you! We always have this at any holiday meal.

It's a grain. Like halfway between oats and halfway between rice. It's in the rice aisle at the store. It makes super good soup.
