I think it would have been fine. You can always make a pie crust too! Or use Bisquik.

I make a similar casserole with dough..... just cover it with foil to start so it can cook the dough without browning it.... then remove the foil for the last 15 minutes or so to let it brown.

Oh good idea Liz. I probably have everything to make a pie crust.

LaDonna also a good idea. I might do this tonight since we ate out last night!

LMAO I usually expect Liz to give me cooking advice. But your idea was also good! Especially since I have a load of crescent rolls in the fridge!

Noooo. John isn't hungry and neither am I. We ran out of toilet paper and the dishes were a mess so...no LMAO By the time I got done with dishes it would have been at least 6:30 before we could eat...and going to get toilet paper is just more important right now!

I tried it last night and didn't read the recipe right so I only have to of the tiny little cans of canned chicken...so I only put one can of corn and it was a little to runny. But as it cooled off it wasn't as bad. I thought it was "okay" John said it was "good". lol
