X-mas Eve

What's everyone having for dinner?

My dad is making Lasagna.
I am making a fresh Mozzarella, tomato, cucumber salad and Garlic Bread

We always go out for Chinese. Like on "A Christmas Story."

Well I went all out. We had Turkey, Ham, Mashed taters, Corn Casserole, Green beans, and I made a Apple Pie!

Tonight I made a big traditional German meal: beef rouladen, brats, spaetzle, green beans with bacon, and rolls.

Christmas Eve we had turkey, mashed potatos, green beans, deviled eggs. Then we had his family over later that night and just had bbq meatballs and smoked sausages, chili cheese dip, shrimp cocktail, cookies, and puppy chow.

Christmas Day we had 3 places to go and had almost all the same things as above.

My dad made prime rib and lobster tails.... it was AWESOME!!!!!!

We had chinese takeout.

It was AWESOME.

I love chinese take out. Something about it.......

There's a place in Clayton that has the best pork fried rice.

I think Chinese take out is better because you get to eat yummy Chinese food in your OWN house. Best of both worlds!

I am a sucker for general tso chicken..... OMG that stuff is amazing.

I LOVE General Tso's Chicken!!! It's my favorite. Oh man... Drenched in that good sauce...

With some pork fried rice and an egg roll dripping with a ton of "bad for you" soy sauce.

I LOVE soy sauce like I love the Steelers. Now that is really bad for my blood pressure but I love it so much.

Oh ya. I've even had the "reduced sodium" kind and I just use more.

I like General Tso's but I also like Sweet and Sour Chicken and Chicken & Broc. or Beef & Broc.

I went to the Chinese place to pick up my order and the lady in front of me was ordering and this is how it went:

Lady: I want Chicken & Broccoli with NO broccoli.
Chinese Lady: Okay...
Lady: I need fried rice...with NO onions.
Chinese Lady: Okay....
Lady: I need Chicken Lo Mein with NO vegetables.

I was thinking...okay why don't you just say I don't want veggies in ANYTHING!

What a weirdo. I order everything straight up.

I like beef pepper steak but I'm picky with it. Some places have the beef that's squishy.

I don't like onions.... but that's pretty much it. I'll eat any and all other veggies! and most of the time I don't order my fried rice without it, I just pick around it. I'm usually easy to please.

I think the onions are the best part. The little ones that squish with just a touch of crunch.

see that is why I hate them.... I don't like the texture.

Exactly...why can't you just eat around the onions. I don't get why people have to be so difficult!

I really like veggie lo mein! I get it everytime we order Chinese.

I'm really big on ordering food how it comes..... I tell DH all the time, they have it that way on the menu for a reason!!! If we are dining expensively, I NEVER change the order, I order straight off the menu no changes.... these people are chefs for a reason! If it's cheaper food, sometimes I'll change things.... but it's usually minor.

Yeah some people are just impossible to please... like my mom. She ALWAYS has to edit a order...." I want "..." BUT I don't want etc. etc. but I do want to add etc. etc." and she wonders why my dad hates ordering for her

Brad and I order the "pu pu platter" all the time for like a snack when we play Wii. I always make him order it though haha
