I know I say it a lot, but their prices rock! I spent $50.37 and got:

salmon and tilapia fliets, fresh pineapple, 5 lbs red onions, 10 lbs yukon gold potatoes, 3 pomagranates, 4 avocados, 3 lbs oranges, 3 lbs apples, w huge grapefruit, cranberries, milk, eggs, salt for the sidewalk...and a bunch of other stuff. That's inasne!

That is awesome. I think we are going to start shopping there again. I feel like they don't have some of the stuff I like though. But I can live without it if it's going to save money!!

My big gripe is they don't take check cards so you have to get cash. It's just me being lazy though. I need to start shopping there more. It is seriously 5 minutes away and saves us so much money.

It's super close to our new house so we will be shopping there. I don't like the whole 'cash only' thing either. It's a pain sometimes!

We have a couple but they're in some of the "not so nice" areas.

I'm just going to buy a deep freezer and go to the commy once a month and stock up! lol

I wish I could buy a deep freezer, my husband won't let me though. Boo. The commy is better for meats, but Aldi is even cheaper for canned goods and pantry items.

I can't WAIT to get into this new house. I'm going to get something like this...

Aldi 080917-freezer

We had a BIG one (double that size) growing up. That thing was stacked with frozen pizzas, meat, banquet meals...

I want one so we can buy meat by the side. Now THAT is a cheap way to get meat.

That's what my grandparents do! My mom and step-dad share a cow with his siblings. They have a dairy farm so they raise a cow a year and split it 4 ways.

My parents have chickens. Rosemary loses her mind when we go home! We were looking at a house here that was a rental that we could have chickans at, but the bathroom was awful. I am still sad about it. Sad

I wonder if there's places that I could do that here...

We're staying in this new house for a while but after the kids get older, we're totally moving out to the REAL country and getting some damn animals.

Grocery shopping kills me. lol It's cheaper to slaughter your own. LMAO
