Mean Green 10 day Juice Cleanse

So, we are thinking about doing the 10 day juice cleanse...
Anyone ever try it, or hear anything about it?

I watched that too. I can't only juice though. I get cranky. Plus it is soooooo expensive! I have a three fruit smoothie with either spinach or kale every morning.

Yeah, I was thinking we will probably start with one or two drinks a day and one actual meal.

Brayden has decided to become a vegitarian... He's actually doing pretty well so far.

How is Kale in juice?

It's not bad. You can taste it a little bit but not too much. It makes it a nasty color too. Lol. But the benefits of kale are worth it!

We have really been trying to eat better and work out at home. I had a cancer scare a few months back... really made me think.

I have watched too many food documentaries! There are tons on Netflix if anybody wants to watch. How our food is produced is awful. We started buying local meat and get our produce from the farmers market. It is going to be sad in the winter.

We haven't had to buy any produce this year. Scoreeeeeee on the gardening.

Meat...I dunno. We're torn on meat. It's so fucking expensive to buy it locally! We're still looking at getting chickens soon (just egglayers). But we've been too busy to work on the coop.

Whole Foods has "grass fed" beef... It's expensive.

I guess I'm lucky to have all those cows up in Wisconsin! It's expensive to buy that much up front, but when you price it out per pound it is cheaper. I buy from a farmer in Waukesha. They have a trailer with freezer chests and it is self serve. You go and pick what you want and leave them a check or cash. They have eggs, beef, and pork. Its pretty awesome and it's grass fed, hormone free. And the animals are treated humanely.

And Jeannette I want chickens SO BAD!!!

My neighbor has about 10 hens and 1 rooster. I'm so jealous. They have a chicken auction nearby and as soon as we get our coop and run built, we're going! I want 5 chickens to start, no roosters for right now. I just want egglayers.

I thought about finding a local farmer. We have a deep freezer now...I'd totally buy a half of a cow in a heartbeat.

You can just come pick some up out of my yard... I don't think the neighbors keep track of them at all
