Not quite a homecoming, but I got to see him!
Too lazy to resize everything. These pictures are of my husband, the first time I got to see him since November. I can't wait to find out how long is A-School will be. Because of his rate it could be as short as 5 weeks or as many as 21. It all depends on how well he does and what specific job they end up assigning him.
I want it to be 5 or 20/21. With 5 it's really really short. With 19, it's really long but not long enough for them to move me to be with him. I don't want nearly 5 months without him, only for him to end up deployed right away.

No matter how long his A school is, you'll get through it just fine!

You can do it! What' his rate (job, since you may not know that being new to this whole thing)? He looks positively happy in his boot camp pic compared to my hubby, lol, DH looks angry in his. He was angry he tells me, and really, really sick.

Yeah, my husband was in DEP for 10 months, and I was also going to enlist. My father was also Navy. I know lots of lingo.
He was originally going to be CTI, but they didn't have the room in that position for him. He's an AA, but isn't sure if he'll be an Av Tech or Av Mech, that's information he doesn't have yet, because it's a weird rate like that.
He called me a few hours ago. Apparently he's going to be in A-School in Pensacola for 8 months, so I'll be moving down there with him. I'm so excited. I would have been very sad to not be able to move with him. Yay for smuggling cell phones!

Wow, that's awesome that he smuggled his phone.
I like that you're not completely lost then, hehe. Must make the transition loads either not having to learn about the whole new world he just entered. My hubs was an AO before he cross-rated to Corpsman, so he went to A-school in P-Cola too, but his was only like... 3 months I think, something like that.

His RDC is the one who told them how to do it, hahaha. "You know, if you took the battery out and kept them separate, we'd never know, because we aren't doing any more inspections. But don't do that. Don't hide the battery in your socks and the phone in your underwear. Nope."
I just found out that he's an ATO. So, Aviation Electronics Technician Ordnance. Our text conversation about it:
NikkoKitty: ATO... ordnance? Boomies?
Puff: Not that I know of, but I could be wrong
NikkoKitty: "ATO Aviation Electronics Technician Ordnance" Seems like boomies
Puff: Ok then
NikkoKitty: Puff plays with boomies!
Puff: I play with the stuff that makes the boomies go!
