Yeah isn't that where you get coupons and then keep the ones you want and send the ones you don't use to someone else?

My friend does this ...she has so many coupons...its crazy.

I did it for a while, but wasn't able to get all the coupons, so I was missing out on a lot of deals. Are you actually doing the Grocery Game, where you pay for the lists?

If you're going to do a lot of coupons, figure out a way to keep them all organized. I have a 3 ring binder with baseball card holder pages and dividers by alphabet. So I would organize all my coupons in there and then go through the list weekly and get my coupons and transfer them to an envelope to take with me to the store.

Another thing to keep in mind, it's meant to stockpile, so make sure you have space organized for a stockpile. At the time, I had a space in our garage emptied out for this stuff and I used it mostly for paper goods. I still have paper towels out there and I stopped doing it about 8 months ago.

the stocking up thing is the "grocery game" but I'm not going to do all that..... I'm just going to create a coupon book and start pricing stores, using coupons, etc....... I don't have the storage space for the grocery game!

Where do you get all these said coupons? They only have a couple coupon books in the paper. Sometimes they'll just send them in the mail.

I'm entrigued by this as I am a cheapo and shop at 3 different stores for things. lol

Hmmmm....I think I might start being the coupon queen again.

I almost hate buying the newspaper though. I buy one, then another, then another, and then I have a 2 foot high stack that the dog ramsacks and Wesson will eat.

All because it's too much trouble to throw it out weekly. lol

Ah... I attempted to steal the Sunday paper from non-existent fellow apartments who never claim their papers. My integrity stopped me... but last Sunday's coupons were really good. I just don't wanna pay $2 every Sunday.

redplum.com

Thats where I go to get some. They don't have a lot but you just print what you want.

Also couponbug.com But with that one you have to in put your email and download a coupon printer. I did but I don't use them that much because we have so many coupons from our papers.

Yeah... Thats what they called it on the download. But I am technology illiterate for the most part so I really have no idea. I need to check out what coupons are up. I don't think we have many useful ones right now The Coupon Game 213115

I downloaded it and nothing happened. I was concerned because I don't download things I don't know. Was it from the same site?

I used to get my online coupons from coupons.com. You usually have to download a coupon printer to print any of them, so that the barcodes download right. Nothing happens immediately, but you will probably see the icon on the desktop now. When you print coupons it uses that, but you won't notice anything different.

I just bought cookbook called $75 a week or something like that and it has some money saving tips. One of the things it says is to make a price book. Take a notebook and write down one item per page and gather previous receipts and write down the prices and if you can, the sizes of the item. Then calculate the unit price (like $0.50/oz). Now if you check out the prices at the different stores you shop, write them down, that way you can see who has the best prices on what, based on the unit price.

The whole deal with the grocery game is that they watch the sales for you, so you take your coupons you collect from the paper, add in the sales that they are tracking and then you get the lowest prices on items. I stopped doing it because I was actually saving more at the commissary and I couldn't get a hold of most of the coupons, so I was missing out on sales anyway.

The Grocery Game is really simple, because they do all the hard work for you, the price comparison and sales watching. But you have to pay for it. But the idea is you will end up saving way more than you pay for the services.

I really loved all the saving I was doing for a while there. Now that DH is gone I have really been slacking and I was buying all processed junk because I am lazy and didn't want to cook. Hopefully once we are together again I will get back to couponing and saving money again.
