Re: Remember this photo?
It was on the front of the USAA newsletter last month! Its a great very emotional picture. Most of all though I just have to say that the commander or whatever they are called in the Army was very nice to let the little girl do that. I think most would be like "she can't do that...yada yada"

Re: Remember this photo?
I read on USAA that they allowed the little girl to stand with him. I kinda found it unfair...that the other little kids didn't get to stand with their daddies...but..w/e

Oh I know. That's your "military wife" kicking in.
I think it's good for the average Joe with no strings to the military.
It's an eye-opener when someone sees that. Every single one of those guys leaves behind alot more than average people think.

Re: Remember this photo?
Thats for sure. Which is why its such a powerful picture.
I read his interview where he said "that picture has probably been taking a million times" which is totally not true. Because most commands wouldn't allow that..cause of course the formation would be huge

Heck ya. Although, there was one time when we were on base waiting for a Company formation so we could go home... I left to get the guys some lunch and within a minute of returning, they had their formation called. Jon almost ended up with Wesson during the formation.
His higher ups said they didn't care as long as he stayed in the back and kept him quiet.
I would have killed to see it.

I can see Wesson screaming, crying, snotting all over Jon while he is trying to stand in attention

Now that he's older, he'd be hitting, fighting to get down, and running around batcrazy.
