Hot Spiced Cider
2-1/2 cups apple cider or unsweetened apple juice
2/3 cup orange juice
1/3 cup sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cinnamon stick (3 inches)
12 whole cloves
In a crock pot combine the first five ingredients. Place cinnamon stick and cloves on a double thickness of cheesecloth; bring up corners of cloth and tie with string to form a bag. Place bag in slow cooker.
Cover and cook on low for 1 hour. Discard spice bag; continue to cook 1-2 hours or until heated through.
I dunno what you could use in place of the cheesecloth to keep the cinnamon and clove together. Any ideas? I have a little fabric bag that works fine. Or you could always use the cheesecloth.

Makes your house smell so good! Kind of a lot of sugar though...you could cut it back.

I'm not sure how you would close te coffee filter. String I guess. Do you think it would fall apart?
Sugar...depends on if you use unsweetened or sweetened juice/ cider.

I don't think a coffee filter would fall apart? I mean...it holds grounds for a day and doesn't break... Hmmmm
