I wanted to lose some weight while Ben was deployed but I never really got around to it... so the past couple of weeks I've been making a last ditch effort to lose some.

Anyone else want to jump on the bandwagon and start a new weight loss thread?

I have completely cut out sweets, fast food and soda. My portion sizes are also much smaller. I'm gonna try this out for a while, see how it works. I plan on getting back into an exercise routine once I'm back in England... I just really haven't wanted to join a class so close to going back.

I neeeeeed to lose weight. But I can't quit Diet Coke. It is my lifeline. It is what keeps me awake and not crabby. lol

I lost a bunch of weight when I was counting calories. It was really hard to adjust to, but afterwards, it's easy peasy and the weight just slowly comes off.

It goes based on your height/weight and goals. You plug in that info and it sets a calories/carb limit for you each day.

You keep a log of what you eat everyday on that site and it automatically has the nutrition info. For example, if I'm alotted 1300 calories and 100 carbs a day...and I just consumed a 1400 calorie donut (extreme example, lol), you just ate ALL of your intake for the day. It forces you to make better nutritional decisions so you have enough remaining calories for the day.

Like I said, it took me like 2 weeks to adjust, but after that, I was doing great just by eating healthier. I was sicker than a dog for the first 2 days because I destroyed my intake just from lunch and didn't have anything left over for dinner.

For my height and weight, I was allowed 1380 calories and 188 carbs. If I had a medium Sprite, that was 56 of my carbs for the day. It also tallies protein, fat, and 2 additional things of your choice (calcium, cholesterol, etc.). I loved it, I still do it but I have added calories for me being pregnant.

I just made an account on myfitnesspal! Just entered everything I just ate for breakfast. I hope this works because I can't do the no carb/no fat/whatever diets.

I love it. Like I was saying, the HARDEST part was the first couple weeks. I ate so poorly that I had no clue what to eat to evenly distribute my intake for the day.

My killer is carbs. I'd have a fricken footlong sub and right there I'm done for the day. lol

It's definitely not a diet, but a (cheesy saying) "Lifestyle Change."

I think my biggest problem is that I want results right NOW and it just doesn't happen that way...so I get frustrated and give up. Or I pretty much starve myself for a few weeks, lose it pretty quickly, then actually start eating again...and gain it all back.

I'm not looking for any drastic weight loss, I only want to lose 10-15 pounds and that's probably the hardest amount to lose. I'm gonna stick with this as best as I can... with Ben coming home soon it's gonna be difficult! lol

That's how I am. I bought stupid dvds, did some dances, and I gave up after a few weeks. lol

I lost some weight with the 30-day shred, I just got too tired/busy to continue doing it.

So far, this is the easiest. But, you pretty much kiss junk food goodbye. lol

15 pounds in about 2 months.

Mind you, I work full-time, have a toddler, and have NO time for exercise. lol

It was JUST eating.

It's safe to lose about a pound/pound and a half per week.

The first week, I dropped 4 pounds just in the food adjustment.

Drink green tea . . .
About 8 cups a day.
The tea bag stuff NOT the bottled stuff from the store.
You will lose QUICK.
That is how I lost all my baby weight.
Throw in some exercise and portion control and you are golden!
