Stupid Curtains!

So...since we're renewing our lease, I figured I would do some more decorating. I wanted curtains. The big patio windows measure about 96" wide and 84" long. I had to get a special rod for them because of how wide...

I go to Walmart... pick out a rod, get some curtains...and go home. First off, I have no clue where the cordless drill is. I measure and put up the rod by hand. I notice that the rod doesn't stick out much further than the bar the the vertical blinds are on...oh well, we'll see how it looks. The stupid rod is 1" diameter. That's HUGE. So I'm FORCING (and sweating) the curtain panels on. I get it on and hang it up. Doesn't look..."too bad"...until I step back. I hung the fucking rod too high! The curtains are like a foot off the floor! But I can't lower the rod because it'll hit the vertical blind bar!

It's ugly. I hate it. And I lost my receipt. I paid with debit so Walmart better take this crap back.

So much for doing anything.

walmart should take it back. we returned a tv cable cord without having the receipt and they just gave me a gift card for the amount that it was.

I was able to return $95 worth of stupid curtains and curtain stuff!

I bought a good ol' fashioned cheapy rod, some extenders to take it further out from the wall (due to the vertical blind bar), and got 4 panels of sheer "acorn colored" curtains! The whole thing? $35 BUCKS!

Big time! I'll have to take some pictures when I get the time...

They're just plain ol' sheer curtains...but man...I'm proud.
