Where do you grocery shop?

I am on a self-imposed Walmart ban. I just hate that place. I have been shopping at the commissary or aldi, but there is just some stuff I can't get at those places.

mostly commissary and then when we run out of stuff we will go to walmart...not sure what stores they have around you

I shop at Aldi and what I can't get there I get at Kroger.

I like Lowes Grocery Foods but they're expensive.

I'm not a huge fan of Kroger because of their crappy meat selection

Food Lion just grosses me out. And they're expensive as hell on some things!!!

When we lived in Jville I shopped at Food Lion for the first few months, but switched to Wal*Mart.

We have Jewel and Dominics. They are sooooo expensive though! I went yestarday, and butter was $5! So was milk! The commissary is across the road from us, so it's convienient. Most stuff is cheaper than Walmart. It's just not very big, and they are remodeling. So annoying.

Their meat doesn't last. And it always looks gross...at least the couple I stopped into.

Their butcher area reminds me of the scene from Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

I only went to the commissary two or three times. I didn't like it and thought it was more expensive than Wal*Mart.

definitely cheaper ive priced some things and they are way more expensive at walmart....and the commissary has such a better meat selection then walmart...well thats the new walmart..not sure about the old one i refuse to go in there

Hope and I used to pack our bags for a day and drive an hour to Ft Bragg to hit up the commy for meat.

I used that one b/c it was closest to my house and then I was told there was a new one and didn't go to the old one unless it was last minute in a hurry.

Is the old one off Western?

If so, I've gone there. And it's yucky. It reminds me of an ancient Kmart and shopped-over Walmart.

I went there ONCE. When Jon was coming home (but conveniently having a fricken 7am formation so we had to get a hotel for the night....), I forgot my contact lens case. I waited in the EXPRESS LANE for fricken 20 minutes. I was pissed.

The one here is pretty new, but already gross. There's one like 10 miles away that's nicer, but I can't justify spending the gas money.

The old Wal-mart isn't as bad as it used to be...they just re-molded and its much nicer now.

I just think its a waste of gas money to drive out to the new Wal-mart.
Then again I don't go to Wal-mart unless its to get wipes ...and well thats about it

I shop commissary.

If I shop at Walmart I usually end up spending $50 more than if I shop at the commissary. The commissary is definitely cheaper than any where else around here.

Walmart, Target, commissary, King Sooper's (Kroger). DB believes Walmart has better meat selection. I disagree. We go to Target for candy (bad Grace!). King Sooper's is close to me so I walk there for everything during weekdays.

I wish we had a Target close. I miss Target!

when did they re-do the old walmart?

i always forget about target cause we hardly ever go down that way
