I don't know what to say.

So one of my friends from high school texted me today. Apparently her husband was arrested for possessing/distributing child pornography and it's hit the media. I get that she wants support and I want to give her that, but when we actually talk all she kept saying was how he was such a great guy. I know she's trying to convince herself and in shock/denial, but what the heck do I say in response?!?!? I can't agree by any means and I can't really disagree with her right now without feeling bad.

That's sad. Is she staying with him? If she was I know I personally couldn't talk to her anymore. I know that's horrible, it's just how I am. Maybe she just needs to vent about it to someone. Maybe it's easier with you because you don't live there. Sometimes all you can say us you don't know what to say, and that's perfectly fine.

I'm with Liz.

#1 I couldn't stay with him.
#2 If she did stay with him I couldn't be friends with them.

Child Prono is what it is. I couldn't imagine being part of that life remotely even if I was just friends with them.

Off but on topic, I was watching the show "Prison Wives" last night on Netflix and was appalled at what these women can look past with the men in their lives...

I think the best thing to do would be to say what Liz said "I don't know what to say."

If she is trying to convince herself he is a good man, then no matter what you say will be wrong unless it's what she wants to hear.

As of right now it looks like she is staying... Maybe? I don't know really. She hasn't come out and said anything regarding that. All she says is how he's a good person with really sick problems. I wanted to say no he's a sick freak living in a human body. I really just think she's in denial, because knowing her I don't see her staying. I know both of their families are pushing for her to take the kids and leave. I think right now, she's afraid to do that though.

I'm not friends with him by any means. He's always given me a creepy feeling. Luckily the only time I've ever met him was at their wedding. Other than that, she never brought him around when we were hanging out.

Either way she's mad that I told her I would support her and be here to listen, but she kept wanting me to agree to things I wasn't comfortable with.
