Lilliana's Birth Story!
Well it all started June 6th (aka her Daddy's Birthday! and the day before my induction) It was about 7:00 at night when I noticed strong contractions that were very uncomfortable and so we decided to go into l&D just to be checked out, went in and monitored my contractions they were 2 min apart, and then she checked me and I was only at 2cm and 50% effaced. So we were released to go home We got home around 8:00pm and we were getting ready to relax and watch tv when I had felt a pop and realized my water had just broke!! So we got everything ready, called L&D and off to the hospital we went! I was admitted around 9:00pm and was at 4cm dilated already! I had to wait HOURS before I got my epidural so before I got the epidural I was given some medicine (don't remember the name) but it made me feel a tired drunk! So I got a good sleep for only about an hour! After that wore off I got my epidural about an hour later. The Doctor had to numb my back 3 times because he could not get it in..but he finally got it in, then came the fun part the catheter! OMG did that hurt I felt everything! My epidural didn't really work I was feeling EVERYTHING!
So now the birth part: At about noon I realized I was wanting to push!, So I called my Dr and in she came to check me I was about 9cm but she said I could push to see what happened, well I pushed and down came Lilliana just a bit! So she said I could continue pushing I Pushed for a total of an 1 1/2 hours! Lilliana was born with her cord wrapped around her neck and a broken clavicle , she had a very traumatic birth. She was not crying when she came out and I had no idea what was going on Joe was doing an AMAZING job getting me to focus on finishing labor. They had Neo come in to help resuscitate her FINALLY she was crying and we were all so relieved! She was born 8lbs 3oz at 1:55 pm. Measuring 20 1/2 in long, with a full head of hair! She looks like her daddy and I. She is such an amazing little miracle! I am so happy and lucky to be her mother and Joe is an amazing Daddy!!
Thank you all for the well wishes and congrats made us soo happy I will update on Lilliana's condition as much as I can when I know more about it!

Aww! Thankfully, babies bounce right back so her clavicle should be just fine!
An hour and a half sucks.
How are you feeling? How's everything going since being home?!
Eek I'm so excited for you guys!

yes the hour and a half did suck but it honestly did not feel that long! lol.
And I am good a bit sore but more from the epidural then birth itself, I did not tear so that was a good thing! I am lucky there, and things are going great since we have been home, but we will see how tonight goes, she LOVES her swing and boppy lol. But I hope she doesn't eat every hour like last night lol

Re: Lilliana's Birth Story!
Yeah it's good she is eating she would not eat that much the day she was born but that was because of her traumatic birth but she is doing much much better
Re: Lilliana's Birth Story!
Oh ya...totally enjoy the help from your mom! Use it to shower. That's the number one thing I missed when I first became a mom...showers!
I hope she's a good sleeper once she gets fully used to being out of your belly!

Re: Lilliana's Birth Story!
she sleeps amazingly well She sleeps more in the day of course! lol But i have been able to take a few showers because Joe takes over mom duty when I shower and I shower when she naps
But I am pumping and formula feeding because she didn't have a good latch but this way everyone can help feed her and I can get some "me" time
But she is an amazing little person she had an odd sleep schedule last night but hey whatever it's probably because when i was pregnant i had an odd schedule to lol
