Well, as long as you guys have a good savings account, and Wes is guaranteed that job with his dad, you guys should be fine.

That house was VERY low-priced. Your monthly payments are probably going to be peanuts with a VA loan.

Sounds like Johns parents. She told us "we were to YOUNG" to buy a house. While my mom was all gung ho about us buying a house.

I guess because she is a flipper. I can't even count how many houses we have bought just to flip them and get a profit out of when I was younger. Plus shes a real estate agent.

Just do what you think is right. If you can afford to buy a house buy a house. It makes sense for your money to be going to something that is YOURS where as if you are renting that money is going in someone elses pocket. Kwim?

Thats what we are going to do with this one. Its SO basic. But once we are done with it we should get quite a profit off of it..hopefully.

Ya...tell that to my husband that wants to move back to Wisconsin, where I'd lose over 1/4 of my income, and we'd be paying 200,000 for a 1200 sq ft home. I'll kill him before we move back.

I'd like a nice old (but not too old...it HAS to have a dishwasher...) country house. A nice wooden porch that I can put a swing on, a TON of land, a HUGE garden... I'd like a barn too. I can store alot of stuff in a barn...
