Did you make a banner?

Is this like an unwritten requirement for a homecoming?

I wasn't going to make one to take with me (how the heck would I hold the thing)

...but I thought of making a little one to hang up outside the apartment.

I dunno. I don't think he's going to care either way.

I made two. One I put on the house and the other I put no the fence.

I wouldn't take one to hold. Its just gonna get in the way. You need hands open for hugs and kisses. I think its neat to take one and put it on the fence. Take pictures of him by it then take it down. Or put one on the apartment!

I don't think I'll do the fence. When he gets back, he's going to want to go HOME...not spend another 10 minutes on base that isn't necessary. Picture a kid kicking and screaming..."I don't WANNA talk any pictures."

That's my husband.

Having a kid throws this off.

I made one for every deployment except this last one. If the buses are coming to the barracks you can tie it to the balcony, that's what I always did. I would put "Welcome Home John" so that he knows which one is his. I could just picture 27 signs saying "Welcome Home Dad" and nobody knows which one is for them.

I made 2. I made one for the front gate.. which he didn't get to see until the next day because they used the back gate..
&& I held the other on homecoming night.

I put Welcome Home John all his family members and mine signed it.

Then the other one I made on tarp and hung it on the fence said "We love dirty cammies and stinky boots because that means Johns home" Love Tate & Reese.

I want to make one for when he comes home for R&R. Maybe we can include sign making in our next g2g.

I haven't made one yet! I suck. I can't really think of anything to put on there. I was hoping to think of something kind of perverted, but can't think of anything I'd want to hold up in public, lol!

I'm not bringing one because I'll have a stroller to lug around. I don't want to carry anything more than I have to.
